Values

Our guiding lights

Lead with empathy and compassion

Cymantix was born because we, too, felt the frustration of being overwhelmed by the growth of information without an easy and intuitive way to access it all. We empathize with those who feel the same; who feel like the world is growing faster than we are able to keep up with. We take these issues and turn them into opportunities for innovation, meticulously engineering even the smallest of elements--always with you, and our shared experiences, in mind.

Instill passion and meaning into all that we do

We are so enraptured by semantics, we named our company after it. What is “meaningful” differs for everyone, but that is what makes it interesting. We value the differences in meaning within our team, how we take our similarities and differences and weave them together into a tapestry, and how each person shows up in their unique way and injects their passion into Cymantix.

Knowledge is power; time is valuable

Our goal is simple: provide our users with a full spectrum of information, but in a simple, intuitive, and visual way. We believe that there is a wealth of untapped answers to the world’s biggest problems that is currently inaccessible. We want to build the tools that make the most out of knowledge and time--enhancing productivity and impact--and create access to information that wasn’t previously accessible. Imagine an 8-year-old using PATTIE to explore ways to combat climate change. It’s quite humbling, really.

Employees are our most valuable asset

We believe in placing our employees at the pinnacle of importance. We are creating a culture that values opinions, exploration, fresh ideas, healthy debates, and balance. We disregard conventional rules typically associated with time and location of work because we trust our employees to manage their schedule with intent and purpose. Our goal is to uplift, empower, and show humility and validation every day because without them, Cymantix would just be an idea.

Be the change that we wish to see

With more information and interconnectedness comes the good, the bad, and the ugly. We allow our moral compass to guide us in how we conduct our business, and that has led us to prioritizing equity, privacy and security of information, and ethical business practices. We believe in making sure that no one is left behind--that everyone has equal access to information. We believe in valuing privacy and consenting to what you are, or aren’t, willing to share. We want to foster a relationship of trust between our company and its users, and that means showing up everyday committed to paving the path forward.

Be comfortable with being uncomfortable

We’ve all heard the saying: whatever makes you uncomfortable is your biggest opportunity for growth. We want to always be challenged, personally and as a team. We know that the wealth of information will never stop growing, and we are committed to creating new products and services to stay ahead of the curve. This mentality is not always easy, but the hardships are worth it when you truly believe in your mission and vision for the future.

Do a couple of things really, really well

Service is our butter and information search and retrieval is our absolute jam. We never want to stop doing what we are great at, and always focus on making the best products while creating a safe, trusting, and empathetic environment for our users.
